Olive Zipbook: India’s First 3G Embedded Netbook!

Olive has launched India’s first ever 3G Embedded Netbook that is also known as Zipbook. This has competitive price and is available in the market at cheap rate i.e. Rs.23999. This laptop fulfills almost all the feature that is needed by the citizen of India that is also at affordable price. Middle class people can also afford to buy Olive Zipbook easily. It has launched in a way to fulfill the dreams of middle class people and at the same time students can also easily afford to buy it.

This netbook is loaded with all the features that are necessary and also has inbuilt 3G Modem along with Windows XP Operating system. This 3G Modem if purchased separately then it costs Rs. 3500 and Windows XP is another bonus that would cost Rs. 4000. Overall this laptop has been launched in a way to provide savings for the customer.

Designing of Olive Zipbook is as follows:

The designing of the Zipbook is lightweight and sleek at about 1.1 Kgs and is available in the market in about four spunky colors such as yellow, Wine red, Jet black and Apple white. This Zipbook has been powered by Intel Atom Processor along with10.2 “screen that is also with 1024*600 pixels resolution of the screen. It also has microphones, webcams, speakers and 3 in 1 reader with 160 GB HDD.

This is one of the most simplest and easy to use laptop that has been designed in black finished lid that can easily be used in the internal surface along with keyboard and touchpad. Key’s in the keyboard are 92% full size that resembles normal keyboard that are in tactile feel and according to the user experience.

The designing of the keyboard and touch pad accomplishes the demand of the people. Its screen is 19:9 with 10.2-inch backlit by a WLED, and along with the facility of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 10/100 LAN Port. It provides the battery backup of regular 6 cell Li ion strip that is very simple and straight in its physical retention at the back panel.

Overall Olive Zipbook has been launched in two versions EV-DO (it uses Tata Teleservices’) and HSPA (it uses BSNL’s network). EVDO version will be made available to the consumer from select Tata Indicom stores and also through Tata Photon Channel. HSPA version netbook will be made available at BSNL 3G circles.
